
O. Reginald Osenton
O. Reginald (“Reggie”) Osenton is the Owner and President of Osenton Law Offices, P.A.. He has practiced law for more than 20 years in a wide array of legal areas.
Reggie graduated from West Virginia University in 1986 with a bachelor of science degree in accounting, and in 1989 with his juris doctor degree from George Washington University. After graduating from law school, Reggie served as a senior tax consultant in the Washington, D.C., and Charleston, West Virginia, offices of Ernst & Young, the “Big Five” accounting firm. He then served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Logan County, West Virginia, and then as the managing partner of Osenton & Adkins, LLP. After relocating to Florida, he served as a member of the Tampa firm Wetherington, Hamilton, Harrison & Fair, P.A., then as the head of the Business Department of Pilka & Associates, P.A., of Brandon, before establishing Osenton Law Offices, P.A..
Reggie is admitted to practice law in Florida, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia, as well as before the Internal Revenue Service. His practice areas include bankruptcy, probate, estate and trust planning, business law, real estate, taxation, and bankruptcy. Reggie provides counsel to businesses in a wide array of matters, and has handled numerous transactions related to the purchase and sale of businesses and commercial and residential real estate. In addition, he has an active practice in guardianship law, civil litigation, and special needs trusts. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
Reggie served as town attorney for Man, West Virginia, and then as mayor of Mitchell Heights, West Virginia. He is a past chairman of the Young Lawyers’ Section of the West Virginia State Bar, and was a member of the State Bar’s Board of Governors. He is a past president and past secretary of the Logan Rotary Club, and he is a Paul Harris Fellow. Reggie is a graduate of the Class of 2000 of Leadership West Virginia, where he was elected Senate President.
Reggie is the president-elect of the Brandon ‘86 Rotary Club, and is active with the Greater Brandon Community Foundation. As an Eagle Scout, he is the charter organization representative for Boy Scout Troop 11. He is a graduate of Leadership Brandon, and is a member of the Administrative Board of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church.
Reggie’s hobbies include scuba diving, skiing, golfing badly, and flying (a licensed pilot). Perhaps an unusual trait for an attorney, he is an avid follower of NASCAR who attends several races annually. Reggie resides in Valrico with his wife, Lesa (a teacher at Cimino Elementary School), his son, Ben, and his daughter, Lauren.
